Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Cubbedge (ranked 1877 p4p, 240 weight class) and Dimitri Buriak (ranked 836 p4p, 108 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Dimitri Buriak!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubbedge staying out of range there.
Billy Cubbedge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Buriak lands a slapping body shot.
Cubbedge throws a looping overhand right but Buriak ducks down to avoid it.
Cubbedge changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buriak tries to avoid it but Cubbedge manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buriak to the ground. Buriak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cubbedge throws a series of strikes that have Buriak backpedaling.
Cubbedge swings away with a body shot that misses
and Buriak counters with a nice leg kick.
Cubbedge moves forwards but Buriak connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Buriak throws a hook to the side of Cubbedge 's head but Cubbedge sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cubbedge tries to counter with a takedown but Buriak is quick to defend against it.
Buriak lands the left hand.
We've been hearing reports that Cubbedge has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Buriak dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Cubbedge takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Buriak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cubbedge .
Oh Cubbedge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cubbedge misses with a double jab
and Buriak counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Cubbedge to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Buriak!
