The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MBaku thows a left - swing and a miss!
Steel looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
MBaku lands a nice shot that snaps Steel's head back.

It looks like Jack Steel has been cut.
MBaku fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steel manages to avoid it.
MBaku bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

MBaku rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Steel counters with a lovely straight right hand!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

MBaku throws a hook but Steel blocks it.
It seemed like Steel was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
MBaku waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Steel.
Steel moves out of range as MBaku strikes.
MBaku moves forwards but Steel connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Steel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from MBaku.
MBaku throws a body punch but Steel moves out of range.
Steel now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Madik MBaku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel misses with a looping right.
Steel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck MBaku on the side of the head.

A left lands for Steel.
Jack Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nice uppercut lands for MBaku. That snapped Steel's head back.

That has opened up Jack Steel's cut even more.
Steel has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
MBaku closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Steel! MBaku dives in looking to finish! Steel is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
