Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Akkan Kubilay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Lynn!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kubilay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kubilay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lynn counters with a left to the body.

and Lynn counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akkan Kubilay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kubilay misses with a takedown attempt
and Lynn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kubilay thinking.
Akkan Kubilay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kubilay closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lynn to the mat! Lynn manages to get full guard.
Lynn has Kubilay pulled in close to control his posture.
Let's hope that Lynn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kubilay tries to free his leg and advance position but Lynn is retaining full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lynn holds on and takes a little breather.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Lynn.
Lynn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kubilay manages to get himself to full guard.

Kubilay has momentary wrist control but Lynn slips an elbow through the middle.

Lynn engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Lynn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kubilay wants to sweep here but Lynn controlling him for the moment.
Lynn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kubilay is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Lynn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Kubilay seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kubilay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lynn counters with a nice leg kick.
Kubilay tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lynn swivels and escapes.
Kubilay shoots and misses
letting Lynn counter with a right hand.
Kubilay goes for a double leg but Lynn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lynn continues to drive forward.
Kubilay shoots in for a takedown but Lynn shows good takedown defense.
Kubilay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lynn.

Kubilay drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lynn is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Lynn struggling a bit here.
Lynn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kubilay off and has taken his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lynn thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Lynn.
Our spies down at at Hey Steves Fight Shack inform us that Lynn has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Lynn is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Lynn gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Lynn gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Lynn apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Lynn counters with a big right hand! Oh Kubilay is in trouble here! Lynn follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Lynn!
Our winner, Jack Lynn, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
