PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luuk Vermer (ranked 3463 p4p, 349 weight class) and Dat Sik (ranked 6621 p4p, 506 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dat Sik was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luuk Vermer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dat Sik!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Vermer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Vermer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Vermer has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Sparring in the buildup to the fight.
Sik tries to clinch but Vermer is having none of it.
Vermer lands a nice looking body kick.

Vermer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sik sprawling to the canvas! Sik rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vermer finish him?!

Sik is rocked!

It looks like Dat Sik has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sik drops his hands momentarily. Vermer doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Sik staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Sik doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luuk Vermer!
