Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Hardin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rick Hardin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tommy Gunn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hardin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hardin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gunn looks for a takedown but Hardin sprawls well.
Gunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hardin.
Hardin wants to clinch but Gunn slips to the side

and Gunn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hardin won't be happy with that.

Gunn swings around for an armbar but Hardin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gunn's guard.

Gunn has his foot on Hardin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hardin works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Gunn has hold of Hardin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hardin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hardin is bucking up trying to escape but Gunn cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Gunn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Hardin is on top in guard.

Gunn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hardin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gunn.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Gunn is trying to stand up here but Hardin is controlling him well.

Hardin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gunn sees it coming and defends easily.

Hardin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

and Gunn counters with a shoot takedown. Hardin fights it but they end up in guard.

Gunn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hardin is proving hard to escape from.
Gunn is breathing heavily.

Hardin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Gunn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hardin misses with a series of wild punches.
Gunn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gunn shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardin tries to sprawl out of it but Gunn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hardin closes the distance and clinches.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hardin.

Hardin manages to pull guard.

Hardin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gunn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hardin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gunn's back instead.
I really don't envy Gunn right now.

Gunn breaks Hardin's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gunn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hardin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gunn to the mat! Gunn manages to get full guard.
