Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sigi Pesalelei (ranked 23997 p4p, 616 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 3002 p4p, 309 weight class). Boyka has chosen Norman - Fury as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pesalelei sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pesalelei slips a straight right by Boyka.
As Boyka backs away, Pesalelei returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Pesalelei misses with a double jab.
Boyka connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Yuri Boyka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boyka fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pesalelei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Boyka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boyka throws a lazy right hand but Pesalelei sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pesalelei lands with an uppercut that bounces Boyka off the ropes and back into range.

and Boyka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Pesalelei keeps Boyka at a distance using the push kick.

enabling Pesalelei to counter with a crisp jab.
Boyka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Pesalelei lands a nice hook to Boyka's body. Boyka takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Pesalelei makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Pesalelei scores with a head kick. Boyka tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Boyka throws a hook to the side of Pesalelei's head but Pesalelei sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boyka drops his guard momentarily, allowing Pesalelei to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Boyka! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Pesalelei takes it!
