PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Damico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fox's choice of entrance music: 2nd Round KO. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fox misses with a takedown attempt - Damico sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damico cracks Fox with an uppercut from hell and Fox crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Damico's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fox feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Damico wants to get back to his feet but Fox is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Damico is fending him off so far but Fox persists. Nope, Damico circles away and we're back to standing.

Fox closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fox lands in his opponent's guard.

Fox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fox throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Fox has an Americana. Damico didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fox is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fox hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
