The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voinov looks to land a right hand but Shorty moved out of range.
It looked like Shorty wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A jab from Voinov does it's job there.
Voinov lands a nice hook to Shorty's body. Shorty takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Shorty bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Ivan Voinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Voinov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shorty under the eye.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shorty creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
