Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tonimateu Felipao (ranked 2258 p4p, 2967 weight class) and Papa Doc (ranked 305 p4p, 371 weight class). Papa Doc will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipao tries for a takedown but Doc circles away easily
and Doc counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Tonimateu Felipao has been cut.
Felipao misses with a hook
enabling Doc to counter with a crisp jab.
Doc lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Doc counters with a nice uppercut.

Felipao feints and as Doc raises his hands in defense, Felipao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Doc manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Felipao throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Doc was covering up waiting for the punch and Felipao finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Felipao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doc swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Felipao is looking to advance position but Doc has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Felipao rolls, trying to escape but Doc keeps control of the position.

Doc gets to his feet and calls for his opponent to stand and trade! Heeeere we go!

Felipao manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Doc on his heels. He'll look to pass Doc's guard now, I'm sure.

Felipao looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Doc is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Felipao asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Tonimateu Felipao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Felipao goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Doc has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Felipao but great work by Doc.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tonimateu Felipao will probably get the nod.

Well Doc has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
