Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lavelle wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lavelle gets back to full guard.
Lavelle keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.

Lavelle is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Lavelle manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

and Jones finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Lavelle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lavelle swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jones feints and as Lavelle raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lavelle had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lavelle Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jones's back instead.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lavelle misses with an elbow to the head.

Lavelle working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jones is doing well to defend. Lavelle seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jones is forced to tap and this one is over!
