Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gorgon Patriot (ranked 1683 p4p, 2525 weight class) and Nobuki Imanari (ranked 199 p4p, 272 weight class). The key to victory for Gorgon Patriot has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gorgon Patriot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nobuki Imanari!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.

Patriot avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Imanari shoots for a takedown but Patriot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Imanari has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Imanari takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Imanari tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Gorgon Patriot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Imanari shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Patriot manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Imanari goes for an armbar but Patriot turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Patriot.

Patriot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Patriot continues to stall.
Patriot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Imanari swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Imanari is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nobuki Imanari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Gorgon Patriot spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
