The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kuusisto. Eskimo shrugs it off though.
Kuusisto misses with a takedown attempt - Eskimo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kuusisto shoots in looking for a takedown. Eskimo tries to sprawl out of it but Kuusisto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eskimo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kuusisto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Eskimo's guard.

Kuusisto is working for a kimura but Eskimo is defending it quite comfortably.
Kuusisto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eskimo is just riding it out for now. Kuusisto eventually gives up the hold.

Kuusisto sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Eskimo's guard.
Kuusisto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Let's hope that Kuusisto has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
