Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Couture shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Couture showed some decent athleticism there.

Couture is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hudson is just riding it out for now. Couture eventually gives up the hold.
Couture takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hudson wants to control but Couture is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Couture closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hudson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Couture wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Couture changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hudson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Couture's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hudson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Couture paws at him with a jab and circles away.
