Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Montoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brisbane Ultra!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.





The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ultra takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ultra takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Montoya misses with a hook.
Montoya throws out a powerful jab.
A head kick misses from Ultra.
Montoya lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ultra dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Ultra clinches up against the cage.
Montoya tries to score a body lock takedown but Ultra shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Montoya is looking to take this one to the mat.

Ultra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Montoya throws a body shot but no joy.
Montoya misses with a hook.

Ultra instigates a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ultra breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ultra with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Montoya to score with a decent uppercut.
Ultra throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ultra bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ultra is defended easily by Montoya.
Montoya takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A little feinted left hand from Montoya on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Montoya misses with a body shot.

Ultra rushes Montoya and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ultra works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ultra controlling from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Montoya knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ultra on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Montoya has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ultra off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Montoya ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ultra moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ultra rushes Montoya and presses him up against the cage.
Come on Ultra - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Ultra jumps guard and drags Montoya to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Ultra is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Montoya has his hands clasped together but Ultra extends and breaks Montoya's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ultra.
