Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maurice Kilmers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe ducks under a wild hook from Kilmers.
Doe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kilmers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kilmers bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Doe's head.
Kilmers drops Doe with a nice combination! Kilmers dives into Doe's guard, looking to finish!


Doe is rocked!


It looks like John Doe has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kilmers stands up and waves to Doe to follow him.
Doe is still on wobbly legs! Can Kilmers finish him?
Danga de danga de dang - Doe scores with a four punch combination!
Doe seems to have recovered his senses.
Kilmers clinches but Doe breaks the clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Doe drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kilmers controls the position for a moment.
Kilmers is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kilmers pushes Doe away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Doe gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kilmers is trying to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Kilmers's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kilmers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Doe's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Doe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kilmers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kilmers gets back to full guard.
Doe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kilmers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Doe looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kilmers wants to sweep but no luck.

Kilmers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Doe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kilmers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Doe's back instead.

Doe won't enjoy being in this position. Kilmers looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Doe is tapping - it's over boys! Kilmers picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Maurice Kilmers!
