Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes into the arena with Cavatina blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith gets the takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morgan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Morgan avoids a strike by Smith and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Smith's guard! Fantastic escape!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Carlos Morgan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Morgan throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt - Morgan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

It looks like Franky Smith has been cut.

Morgan throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
