Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fionn Mulligan (ranked 4363 p4p, 413 weight class) and Kal Valen (ranked 4468 p4p, 420 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Fionn Mulligan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kal Valen!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Mulligan with that takedown attempt.
Mulligan shoots in looking for a takedown but Valen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mulligan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mulligan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valen paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Valen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fionn Mulligan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Valen throws a punch but it's blocked by Mulligan.

Valen misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Valen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Valen fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Mulligan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Valen uses from the top position.
Valen is looking to stand up but Mulligan won't let him.
Mulligan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Valen's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valen can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
