The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilbert shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Gilbert tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Gilbert shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sniper Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Gilbert.

Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gilbert shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Gilbert. Gilbert gets slowly back to his feet.
Jones jabs Gilbert right on the nose. Gilbert blinks but takes it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gilbert jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Gilbert gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jones rushes Gilbert and presses him up against the cage.
Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Jones digs a right hand underneath Gilbert's ribcage. Gilbert let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Gilbert blocks a body shot from Jones.
A short uppercut from Jones.

Gilbert is rocked!
Jones throws a big uppercut that drops Gilbert! More strikes from Jones and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Gilbert lies dazed against the cage as Jones celebrates with his cornermen!
