Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryu Takemura (ranked 23795 p4p, 593 weight class) and Muhammad Om (ranked 6254 p4p, 498 weight class). Om has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Ryu Takemura had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Om avoids a punch combination nicely.
Om tries to counter by closing the distance.
Takemura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Takemura thuds his right hand into Om's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Takemura takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Takemura.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takemura pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Om back to the ropes. Takemura follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Takemura lands a jab to the head.
Takemura fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Takemura jabs Om right on the nose. Om blinks but takes it well.

Om is rocked!
Takemura ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Om is still on wobbly legs! Can Takemura finish him?
Takemura keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Takemura digs a good hook to Om's body.
Takemura connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Om out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryu Takemura!
