The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trace moves out of range of the strikes.
Trace lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Trace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Trace uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mahoney has time to react.
Trace throws a head kick that misses.
Trace doesn't manage to clinch there - Mahoney circles away.
Mahoney swings for the body but Trace moves out of range.
Mahoney swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mahoney scores with a one two! Trace had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mahoney changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Trace misses with a looping right.
Mahoney throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trace sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mahoney ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mahoney throws a series of punches but Trace avoids them all with ease.

Trace has Mahoney up against the cage in a clinch.
Mahoney lands with a left to the head.
Trace tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Mahoney manages to break the clinch.
Trace looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Trace is rocked!

Mahoney looks to land a right hand but Trace moved out of range.
Mahoney uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oh Trace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whelan Mahoney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Are you kidding me?! Mahoney ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Trace clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
