Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Chugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Pearson!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.

Pearson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chugman dives in and scores a takedown into Pearson's guard.
Pearson wants to stand and escape but Chugman is having none of it.

Chugman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pearson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Chugman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chugman lands a couple of digs.
Chugman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pearson can't keep his opponent in guard - Chugman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pearson is staying active underneath Chugman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Pearson tries to kick Chugman off but Chugman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We've been hearing that Chugman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Chugman counters with a shoot takedown. Pearson fights it but they end up in guard.

Chugman won't allow Pearson to get back to his feet.

Pearson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chugman is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chugman gets control of Pearson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chugman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Johnny Pearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pearson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chugman moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pearson. Chugman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chugman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pearson pinned against the cage. Pearson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chugman sets himself, and Pearson steps forward looking for the clinch! Chugman avoids it this time.

Klaus Chugman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chugman is trying to control. Pearson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Pearson is trying to stand up here but Chugman is controlling him well.

Pearson pushes Chugman off, looking to escape but Chugman dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Pearson is forced to tap! The fight is over!
