A big right from Rehn misses.
Bonifacio is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Rehn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rehn has Bonifacio up against the cage in a clinch.

Rehn's coach down at Blanc Fitness Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rehn's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Rehn tries to throw a body punch but Bonifacio avoids it by throwing Rehn back against the cage.
Rehn fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bonifacio prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bonifacio is pushing Rehn up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Rehn lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rehn is taking a breather. Bonifacio says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We've been told by Bonifacio 's head coaches at whitey's gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Bonifacio counters with a left to the body.

Rehn wants to clinch but Bonifacio slips to the side
and Bonifacio makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rehn throws a right hand that misses
and Bonifacio counters with a huge left! Rehn is in big trouble! He's backing up but Bonifacio isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rehn from any more damage. A dominating finish by Bonifacio !

Luigi Bonifacio decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
