Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Diaz (ranked 1488 p4p, 962 weight class) and Jesse Ristinen (ranked 211 p4p, 148 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ristinen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ristinen wants to pass the guard but Diaz is defending well.

Ristinen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ristinen.

Ristinen is looking for a kimura but Diaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ristinen to get the leverage.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ristinen pulls his head out easily.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ristinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ristinen frees his head nicely. Oh but Diaz has switched to an armbar! Ristinen is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
