Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shade Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffon comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping out to Boston by Dropkick Murphys. Teixeira is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by numero1 - sans pression. Shade Teixeira is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira blocks a head kick by Griffon.
Griffon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Teixeira takes one on the button.
Griffon throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Shade Teixeira has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Griffon thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Teixeira if he has to take too many more of those.
Teixeira shoots in but Griffon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Teixeira is in close to Griffon's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Griffon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Teixeira is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Griffon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Teixeira's back instead.

Griffon has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Teixeira has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
