Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rio Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rio Grande!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Grant!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grande slips a jab and a cross from Grant.
Grant misses with a wild combination.
Grande shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grant but Grant pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Grant lands a two punch combo.
Grande misses with a looping left.

Grande shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Grant makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Grant rushes Grande and presses him up against the cage.
Grant is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Grant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grant feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grande's calf.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Grant throws a leg kick but Grande checks it.
Grant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grant's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Grant duly obliges.

so Grant counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Grant decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Grande, up you get!
Rio Grande is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Grant shoots in and bounces Grande off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Grant gets to his feet. Grande looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Grant throws a series of punches but Grande moves out of range.
Grant throws a nice looking combination but Grande bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Grant catches Grande with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Grant changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grande looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Grande looking for a sweep but Grant has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Grant can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grande is looking to escape.

Grant looking to control but Grande is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Marcus Grant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marcus Grant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
