Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Decimo Meridio (ranked 4823 p4p, 4875 weight class) and Bo Brunson (ranked 0 p4p, 511 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Meridio tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Brunson has managed to clinch.

Meridio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brunson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Meridio somewhat.

Meridio ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Meridio no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Meridio has his foot on Brunson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brunson works his way back into a safe position though.

Brunson wants to get back to his feet but Meridio is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Meridio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brunson but Brunson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Horrible takedown attempt by Meridio or perhaps it was just good defense by Brunson, which made it look bad.
Bo Brunson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meridio tries to work over Brunson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Brunson drops Meridio with a left and a right! Oh, Meridio is hurt - Brunson dives into side control looking to finish!

Brunson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Oh Meridio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brunson gets in close and tags Meridio with a short punch that almost sends Meridio to the mat! Oh Meridio is in big trouble! He turns his back on Brunson, trying to create some distance but Brunson rushes him, striking wildly and Meridio goes down! The referee tackles Brunson into the cage to end the fight! Brunson is one violent man!
