Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Little (ranked 4778 p4p, 6303 weight class) and Eric Northman (ranked 212 p4p, 242 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

Little looks to land a left hand but Northman moved out of range nicely.
And Northman tries to counter it with a takedown but Little pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Little might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Northman is taking a breather. Little says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Northman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Little is just riding it out for now. Northman eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Northman content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Northman passes to side control.
Northman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Northman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Little is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Northman.

A close round but Eric Northman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Northman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A big left from Little misses.

Little sends Northman crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Little is motioning to the referee to let Northman up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Northman is rocked!
Little lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Northman up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Little from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Northman's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
