Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Blikstein (ranked 24846 p4p, 7737 weight class) and Mohammed Ali (ranked 689 p4p, 673 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paulo Blikstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohammed Ali!

Ali tries to clinch
enabling Blikstein to counter with a crisp jab.

Blikstein is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ali's half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blikstein connects with a nice short shot to Ali's temple.

Blikstein makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Mohammed Ali has been cut.
Ali preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ali can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blikstein cracks Ali with a solid left hand.

Blikstein stands up over Ali, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That has opened up Mohammed Ali's cut even more.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blikstein is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Ali has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Desert Fitness & Training -13 Elites/1 Exceptional. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Mohammed Ali's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mohammed Ali's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
