Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Kawells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase's entrance music is Victory by Viking Quest. A fine choice. Anthony Kawells has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Johnny Chase's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawells tries for a takedown but Chase sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kawells avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Chase is trying to control Kawells's posture but Kawells avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kawells feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kawells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chase. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kawells lands with a nice combination. Chase backs away looking to recover.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chase is not content to let Kawells control the position.

Kawells uses his free foot to push down on Chase's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chase.
