PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Tepes (ranked 1499 p4p, 2359 weight class) and Jon Snitch (ranked 214 p4p, 322 weight class). Snitch is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Wanna Rock. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Tepes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snitch!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.

Snitch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tepes misses with a wild body shot.
Snitch lands a body shot.
Snitch tests Tepes's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bruno Tepes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snitch thows a left - swing and a miss!
Tepes swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Snitch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Snitch closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Tepes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Snitch has a takedown stuffed.
Snitch wants to clinch up but Tepes keeps it at a distance.
Tepes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
And Snitch tries to counter it with a takedown but Tepes pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Tepes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tepes duly obliges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tepes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Snitch throws a hook to the side of Tepes's head but Tepes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Snitch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Tepes bucks up and tries to throw Snitch off but instead Snitch has got his back!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tepes staying busy and making it hard for Snitch to control.

Snitch biding his time, controlling Tepes.
Tepes looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Tepes looking to control the position.
Snitch is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Snitch gets his hands free as Tepes looks to control.
Tepes really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Snitch's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
Tepes is trying to break free.

Snitch wants to control but Tepes is keeping busy.
Tepes surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
Snitch struggling to land strikes to the head as Tepes covers up.
Snitch controls the action.
Tepes prevents Snitch from getting a body triangle.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tepes is trying to break free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Snitch controlling the positon.
Snitch tries to get the hooks in deep but Tepes pushed the leg off.
What can Tepes do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tepes is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tepes throws a leg kick which misses Snitch's front leg but catches the back leg as Snitch tries to avoid it.
Tepes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tepes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Snitch checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Snitch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tepes's guard.

Tepes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snitch wants to control from the top but Tepes keeps moving.
Tepes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tepes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snitch controls the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Snitch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tepes is keeping the position for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Tepes gets caught flat footed, as Snitch shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tepes throws a half hearted mid kick.

Tepes swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Tepes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Snitch lands a nice shot to the body.
Tepes lands a slapping body shot.

and Snitch decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tepes's guard.
Snitch trying to control the position from guard on top but Tepes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Snitch has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Snitch not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's time! Tepes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Tepes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tepes.
Tepes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tepes is looking to wear down Snitch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Tepes misses with a wild body shot.
A little jabbing left from Snitch on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tepes thows a left - swing and a miss!
Snitch tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Snitch rushes Tepes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tepes misses with a body punch.
Tepes doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Tepes is trying to push Snitch away but Snitch has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Tepes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A right hook to the body lands for Tepes.

Tepes tries to work over Snitch's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Tepes throws a punch but it's blocked by Snitch.

Tepes lands a left hand that snaps the head of Snitch backwards.
Tepes tries to throw a body punch but Snitch avoids it by throwing Tepes back against the cage.
Tepes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Tepes is pressed up against the cage. Snitch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tepes down to the mat. Tepes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bruno Tepes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snitch.
Tepes throws a body kick that misses.
Snitch tries to clinch up.
Snitch shoots in for a double leg but Tepes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Snitch fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tepes pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Snitch takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tepes looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Snitch swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tepes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snitch stuns Tepes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tepes throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Tepes connects with a crisp jab.
A clash of legs there as Snitch blocks the low kick.
Tepes swings for the body but Snitch moves out of range.
Tepes throws a hook to the side of Snitch's head but Snitch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Snitch moves out of range of the body kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bruno Tepes showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Snitch has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
