Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryu Takemura (ranked 23782 p4p, 2535 weight class) and Toktogulovich Bakiyev (ranked 646 p4p, 276 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Bakiyev has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Takemura is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Bakiyev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Takemura goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Bakiyev looks to throw the jab but Takemura is out of range.
Takemura pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bakiyev back to the ropes. Takemura follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Takemura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Toktogulovich Bakiyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takemura will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Takemura connects with a quick right hand that sends Bakiyev tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
