PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julian Lane (ranked 4955 p4p, 25600 weight class) and Jack Langston (ranked 561 p4p, 0 weight class). Langston is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Walk Alone. Jack Langston will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Langston!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.

Langston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lane shoots for a takedown but Langston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lane throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Langston tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lane is in Langston's guard.

Lane is working Langston over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Langston.

Langston tries to bum rush Lane with a series of wild strikes but Lane uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Langston tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lane was well out of range. Poor timing from Langston.

Langston is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Lane presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Langston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lane takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Langston wants to stand up but Lane is controlling him.
Lane is pushing down on Langston's leg trying to pass to half guard. Langston is fighting to maintain full guard but Lane has managed to sneak the leg through.

Langston is looking to escape.
Lane slips a nice elbow through Langston's hands, connecting with Langston's forehead.

Lane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Langston is just riding it out for now. Lane eventually gives up the hold.
Langston wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Langston has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lane is on him like a limpet, forcing Langston back against the cage.
Lane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Langston walks away with a smile on his face. Lane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Langston lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Lane shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Langston manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Langston scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Langston swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lane.
Langston connects with a right that clearly hurt Lane. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Langston proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Lane collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Langston!
A very excited looking Jack Langston rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
