Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chistian Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Professor Avenarius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Machado might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to This Fire Burns. The crowd seem to be enjoying Avenarius's choice of entrance music: Space Prophet Dogon, Sun City Girls. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Machado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Avenarius's waist but Avenarius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Machado off to one side.

Avenarius closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Avenarius with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Avenarius misses with a knee to the head.
Avenarius lands an elbow that stopped Machado in his tracks for a moment.

Avenarius lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Machado or not.

Avenarius manages to break the clinch.
Avenarius lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Machado backs up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Avenarius throws a head kick that misses.

Avenarius throws a right and a left that Machado avoids nicely.
Avenarius connects with a single shot there.
Machado is breathing heavily.

Avenarius darts in and clinches Machado up against the cage.

Avenarius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Avenarius throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Machado stumbling backwards into the cage! Machado bounces back off the cage towards Avenarius, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Avenarius lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Avenarius celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
