Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junior Turner (ranked 4018 p4p, 3801 weight class) and Ellis Rowards (ranked 0 p4p, 456 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Junior Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ellis Rowards!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Rowards on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Turner misses with a double jab.
Rowards shoots in but no luck this time.
Turner throws a series of punches but Rowards moves out of range.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Rowards fails to land the takedown.
Rowards throws a leg kick but Turner moved away.
Rowards falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Turner to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rowards takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rowards keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turner.
Rowards pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Rowards is rocked!
Rowards dives in for a single leg takedown but Turner sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Junior Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ellis Rowards.
Rowards tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Turner swivels and escapes.
An attempted straight right counter from Turner misses the target.
Turner punishes Rowards's body with a nice straight punch.
Turner scores with a shot to the body.

Turner drops Rowards with a right and a left! Turner comes rushing in but Rowards regains his composure and manages to keep Turner in guard.
Rowards is still in real trouble! Can Turner finish him?
Turner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner tries to stand but Rowards is controlling from the bottom.
Rowards is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Turner stopping the sweep attempt from Rowards.
Rowards seems to have recovered his senses.
Rowards is looking to stand up but Turner isn't so interested in that idea.

Turner gets to his feet. Rowards looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rowards showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Turner.
Turner scores with a nice right hand.
Turner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rowards gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Turner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rowards looks winded!
Turner stuns Rowards with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rowards throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Turner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Turner lands a body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rowards takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Turner throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Rowards tumbling to the canvas!
Turner trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rowards's guard.
Rowards trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Turner wants to stand but Rowards has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Turner stands up and waves to Rowards to follow him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rowards on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Turner throws a combination. Rowards tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner scores with a jab to the head.

Turner lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Rowards sprawling to the canvas. Turner follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Rowards hang on?
Turner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rowards wants to control but Turner is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Junior Turner dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Turner lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Rowards goes down and covers up as Turner starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Turner!
