Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Masoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack LeBalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LeBalls has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masoli swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by LeBalls.
LeBalls looks gassed!
Masoli getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Masoli fails with an attempt to clinch.
Masoli tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
LeBalls slips a jab and a cross from Masoli.
LeBalls looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Masoli is fending him off so far but LeBalls persists. Nope, Masoli circles away and we're back to standing.

Masoli instigates a clinch.

Masoli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
LeBalls has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Masoli misses with a two punch combination.
Masoli throws a combination but it was largely blocked by LeBalls.
Masoli misses with a body shot.

LeBalls shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. LeBalls showed some decent athleticism there.

Masoli is looking to escape.
LeBalls throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
LeBalls prevents Masoli from standing back up.
LeBalls is tying to control. Masoli wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Masoli pushes LeBalls off looking to stand but LeBalls dives back in and keeps control.
LeBalls is taking a breather. Masoli says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

LeBalls working over Masoli with some ground and pound. Masoli looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

It looks like Jeremiah Masoli has been cut.
LeBalls landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Masoli is trying to stand up here but LeBalls is controlling him well.
LeBalls lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Masoli throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Masoli pushes LeBalls off looking to stand but LeBalls dives back in and keeps control.

LeBalls is looking for a kimura but Masoli is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for LeBalls to get the leverage.
LeBalls blocks the strikes from Masoli.
LeBalls drops an elbow to the side of Masoli's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Masoli is trying to stand back up but LeBalls is controlling him
LeBalls wants to pass to mount but Masoli is defending the position.

LeBalls is looking for submissions but instead, Masoli has regained full guard.
LeBalls postures up in Masoli's guard and throws a big left but Masoli blocks it.
LeBalls trying to control the position from guard on top but Masoli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

LeBalls stands up and waves to Masoli to follow him.

LeBalls shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Masoli as he jumps to the side.
Jeremiah Masoli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack LeBalls.

LeBalls closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Masoli on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Masoli might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

LeBalls is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Masoli knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Masoli wants to get back to his feet.
Masoli bucks up and tries to throw LeBalls off but instead LeBalls has got his back!

LeBalls has got one arm under Masoli's chin. This could be trouble... Masoli trying to control the other hand but LeBalls gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Masoli has tapped out! The fight is over!
