Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregory Motts!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Franklyn Lucas.

Jiro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Motts has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Motts misses with a wild body shot.
Motts is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jiro.
Jiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Motts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Motts looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jiro scores with a decent looking hook.

Motts tries to keep at a distance but Jiro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Motts gets through Jiro's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jiro blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Motts lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jiro backwards.
A head punch on the inside from Motts fails to land.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Motts.
Motts can't find room to land a body shot as Jiro controls the action.
Jiro misses with a short punch on the inside.
Jiro blocking some punches.
Nice body punch from Motts.
Jiro misses with a hook from the clinch.
Motts blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jiro wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Motts has him pressed against the cage.

Jiro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Motts circles away from the clinch attempt
and Motts counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Motts tries to move into range but Jiro moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jiro drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Motts darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Ken Jiro has been cut.
Motts moves out of range of the strikes.
Motts swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Motts missing with a left hand there. Jiro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jiro darts in trying to clinch
and Motts counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jiro fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Motts, pushing him back against the cage.
Motts goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Motts throws a punch but it's blocked by Jiro.
Motts working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Motts has Jiro pressed against the cage, preventing Jiro from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Motts's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Motts goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Motts misses with some punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jiro throws a head punch that misses.
Jiro blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Motts lands with a right to the head.
Motts blocks a body shot from Jiro.
Motts works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Motts lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jiro backwards.
Motts scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Motts lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jiro backwards.
Motts lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jiro takes a shot to the head.
Motts lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jiro backwards.
Motts can't find room to land a body shot as Jiro controls the action.
Motts tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Motts tries to work over Jiro's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A head punch on the inside from Jiro fails to land.
Jiro misses with the head strike.
Jiro lands an uppercut.
Jiro swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Motts lands a nice uppercut.

Jiro is rocked!
Motts dodges an elbow strike from Jiro.
Motts creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jiro's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jiro drops to his knees and Motts pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gregory Motts!
During a confident post fight interview, Gregory Motts thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
