Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between D.J. Porter (ranked 6712 p4p, 4945 weight class) and Akim Aliu (ranked 113 p4p, 84 weight class). Porter comes into the arena with Jokes and Jokes and Jokes and Jokes - Dave Chappelle blaring out of the sound system. D.J. Porter is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Aliu is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
D.J. Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Porter moves into the clinch successfully.
Porter keeps control of Aliu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Aliu is trying to push Porter away but Porter has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Aliu can't get the takedown.
Aliu avoids a wild elbow strike from Porter.
Aliu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aliu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Porter just stands there and leans against the cage.

Porter manages to break the clinch.
Aliu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Porter but Porter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
D.J. Porter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akim Aliu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Porter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Aliu unleashes a big counter combination but Porter bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Aliu tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Porter manages to break the clinch.
Porter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Porter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aliu, pushing him back against the cage.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Porter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aliu dives in for a single leg takedown but Porter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Porter scores with the left hand. Aliu knows he should have avoided that one.
Porter looks to score with a jab to the body but Aliu is just out of range.
Porter misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Aliu counters with a left to the body.
Porter throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Aliu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Porter clinches with his opponent.
Porter is stalling here.
Aliu misses with an elbow strike.

Porter is pressed up against the cage. Aliu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Porter down to the mat. Porter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Aliu takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Porter connects with a body shot that sends Aliu's belly button to the back.
Porter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Aliu tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Porter swivels and escapes.
Porter wants to land a leg kick but Aliu is out of range.
Aliu looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Porter throws a lazy right hand but Aliu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Porter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Aliu jumps guard but Porter turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Aliu is trying to break free.
Aliu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Porter smiles and moves away.

Porter moves into range and clinches up with Aliu.
Aliu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Porter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Aliu wants to break free but Porter has control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Porter misses with some punches.
Porter lands a body punch.
A left hand lands to the body for Porter.
Aliu looks winded!
Porter presses Aliu against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Aliu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Porter walks away with a smile on his face. Aliu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Porter clinches up against the cage.
Porter pushes Aliu back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Porter lands a right hand.
Porter lands an elbow just above Aliu 's eye.

It looks like Akim Aliu has been cut.
Porter misses with an elbow strike.
Still in the clinch, Porter scores with a nice short uppercut.

Aliu is rocked!

Porter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aliu is still on wobbly legs! Can Porter finish him?

Porter forces Aliu back against the cage and clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Porter seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Aliu seems to have recovered his senses.

Porter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Porter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Aliu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Porter drives through with a takedown into guard.
Porter is standing up over Aliu. Aliu looks to escape but Porter dives into side control.

Porter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aliu has escaped the position, nice work there.

Porter is working to tighten his grip on Aliu's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aliu has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Porter is really squeezing tight and eventually Aliu passes out! Porter breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
