PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 1053 p4p, 575 weight class) and Dexter Krampus (ranked 157 p4p, 88 weight class). Cole kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Won't Back Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Krampus!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

Cole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krampus is fending him off so far but Cole persists. Nope, Krampus circles away and we're back to standing.
Krampus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Krampus takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Krampus works the jab nicely.
Krampus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cole tries to counter by clinching up but Krampus breaks away and moves out of range.
Nice defenses there by Cole.
Krampus misses with a two punch combination.
Krampus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
No joy there for Krampus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cole swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cole takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Krampus is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Cole drops down looking for a counter takedown but Krampus sprawls and moves away.

Krampus seems to be working for a kimura but Cole defends the submission attempt.

Krampus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Krampus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Krampus seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cole is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Krampus tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cole is able to avoid easily.
Cole half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dexter Krampus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cole seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cole connects with a nice short shot to Krampus's temple.

Cole stands up over Krampus, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Cole might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Michael Cole really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
