Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chase Boy (ranked 4340 p4p, 3420 weight class) and Per Erik Stallhagen (ranked 404 p4p, 338 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chase Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Per Erik Stallhagen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stallhagen with a nice cross.
Stallhagen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Stallhagen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stallhagen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boy.
Boy darts in looking for a takedown but Stallhagen gets double underhooks and turns Boy into the cage.
Stallhagen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Boy on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Stallhagen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stallhagen connects with a single shot there.
Stallhagen's corner calls for a 1-2. Stallhagen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Boy fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boy shoots in but Stallhagen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Per Erik Stallhagen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stallhagen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boy wants to slow Stallhagen down by chopping away at his legs.
Donk. Stallhagen catches Boy right on the button with a cross.
Stallhagen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boy needs to keep his hands up - Stallhagen had a free shot at his head there.
Boy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Stallhagen connects with a good right hand that stumbles Boy. Boy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Boy is rocked!
No joy there for Stallhagen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Boy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boy wants to clinch.
Stallhagen slaps away a takedown attempt from Boy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stallhagen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Boy seems to have got his legs back now.
Boy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stallhagen as he avoids it easily.
Boy takes one on the button.
Boy throws a lazy uppercut
and Stallhagen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stallhagen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stallhagen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boy doesn't seem bothered though.
Stallhagen cracks Boy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stallhagen cracks a nice hook into Boy's ribs.
Stallhagen lands with a right hand.
Stallhagen drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Boy right on the button. Boy goes down! Stallhagen follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Stallhagen gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Per Erik Stallhagen!
Per Erik Stallhagen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
