Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Apollo Creed (ranked 4831 p4p, 4873 weight class) and Derrick Thomas (ranked 182 p4p, 183 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Thomas tries to clinch up but Creed circles away and keeps his distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Apollo Creed will probably get the nod.

Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Creed swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Creed lands with an uppercut that bounces Thomas off the ropes and back into range.
Thomas moves in looking to clinch but Creed pushes him off.
Creed lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Thomas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Thomas scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Creed to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

It looks like Apollo Creed has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Creed is out of range.

Thomas looks low and kicks high, catching Creed right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

Thomas catches Creed napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Creed crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Thomas raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
