Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronan Dex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dex has chosen The One as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dex slips a jab from Cane.
Dex closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dex escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cane throws a right and a left that Dex avoids nicely.

Cane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Louis Cane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dex moves into range and clinches up with Cane.

Dex lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cane circles away quickly and effectively.
Cane takes a swing at Dex's ribcage but misses.

Cane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dex misses with a few strikes there.
Cane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dex misses with a two punch combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Dex darts in and clinches Cane up against the cage.
Cane drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dex gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A right handed body shot lands from Dex.
Dex has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cane uses from the top position.
Dex scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Cane throws a big shot that misses.

and Dex counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Cane is breathing heavily.

Dex pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dex throws a sloppy head kick and Cane moves out of range easily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Dex.
Dex darts in and clinches Cane up against the cage.

Cane is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dex.

Dex displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
An inside leg kick lands from Dex.
Dex lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cane backs up against the cage.
Dex stuns Cane with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dex connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Dex drops Cane with a beautiful combination! Cane stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dex is looking for the KO!
Cane is rocked!
Dex misses with a series of wild punches.
Dex moves into the clinch.
A short uppercut from Dex.
Cane has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dex is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louis Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dex pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dex misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ronan Dex is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dex throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Dex with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dex lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dex will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cane tries to bum rush Dex with a series of wild strikes but Dex uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronan Dex dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cane takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cane throws a series of punches but Dex avoids them all with ease.
Cane misses with a combination
and Dex counters with a one-two to the body.
Dex lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dex lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cane circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dex gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Cane regains guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dex wants to stand but Cane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Cane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dex has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cane is proving hard to escape from.
Dex trying to control the position from guard on top but Cane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cane wants to sweep but no luck.
Cane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cane had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Dex is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cane Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Dex's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cane doesn't have the hooks in and Dex manages to turn into his guard.
Dex must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cane is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Dex frees his head nicely. Oh but Cane has switched to an armbar! Dex is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
