PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between TJ Kool (ranked 4351 p4p, 7198 weight class) and Damian Tonon (ranked 474 p4p, 595 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Tonon moves out of range of the strikes.
The fighters circling - Kool throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tonon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tonon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kool but Kool pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tonon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kool tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Damian Tonon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

TJ Kool has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Tonon.

Tonon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kool regains guard immediately.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kool is on top in guard.

Kool got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tonon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kool has managed to get both his arms back between Tonon's legs - danger averted.

Oh but Tonon is tightening it up a little... Kool has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kool reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kool taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tonon!
