Deal throws a shot from downtown. Martinez moves away and avoids it.
Deal with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Martinez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Deal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Deal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martinez.
Deal lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Deal jabs Martinez to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown but Deal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deal thuds his right hand into Martinez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
