PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Randy Warner (ranked 6218 p4p, 6936 weight class) and Ace Boogie (ranked 476 p4p, 502 weight class). Ace Boogie told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

Boogie connects with a body shot that sends Warner's belly button to the back.
Boogie cracks Warner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Boogie slips a jab from Warner.
Boogie lands with an overhand left.
Warner throws a series of punches but Boogie moves out of range.
Boogie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Warner doesn't seem bothered though.
Boogie throws out a loose jab but Warner uses good head movement to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Warner. Boogie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boogie throws a body shot but no joy.
Warner throwing a counter right hand but Boogie manages to avoid it.
Boogie swings widly with a right hand
and Warner counters with a leg kick.
Boogie connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Warner momentarily.

Warner is rocked!
Ace Boogie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Boogie misses the target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boogie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Warner was well out of range. Poor timing from Boogie.
Boogie walks into a straight right hand from Warner.

Boogie moves into the clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Boogie as Warner tries to tie him up.
Boogie tries to work over Warner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Boogie has Warner pressed against the ropes, preventing Warner from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warner tries a body shot but Boogie blocks it.
Boogie lands an elbow inside.
Boogie is trying to force a seperation but Warner has the dominant position.
Boogie lands a body shot in the clinch.

Warner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boogie throws out a powerful jab.
Oh Warner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boogie cracks Warner with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Warner is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Warner is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Warner could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Ace Boogie!
