Mendy misses with a takedown
and Mendy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Schrute lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mendy at a distance.
Mendy with a lazy takedown attempt
and Schrute connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Pierre Ragout Mendy has been cut.

Mendy has managed to clinch.

Mendy prevents a body shot from Schrute.
Mendy is working for takedown but Schrute is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dwight Schrute has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre Ragout Mendy.
Mendy goes for a takedown in the clinch but Schrute prevents it.
Schrute lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Mendy is trying to push Schrute away but Schrute has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Schrute gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mendy.

Mendy wants to take the fight to the mat but Schrute manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Schrute breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mendy misses with a takedown attempt
and Schrute counters with a crisp right that sends Mendy to the canvas! Schrute follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
