Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Goldberg (ranked 803 p4p, 928 weight class) and Thor Hammer (ranked 112 p4p, 127 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

We've been told by Goldberg's head coaches at Soul Supremacy Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hammer in particular looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hammer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Goldberg is fending him off so far but Hammer persists. Nope, Goldberg circles away and we're back to standing.

Hammer drops his hands momentarily and Goldberg takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Goldberg throws a lazy right hand but Hammer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hammer tries to clinch up but Goldberg circles away and keeps his distance.

Hammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hammer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
No joy there for Hammer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Goldberg cracks Hammer with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hammer tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Goldberg pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hammer is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
