And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mariusz Pudzianowski!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michima stalks Pudzianowski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pudzianowski's face. Pudzianowski staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Mariusz Pudzianowski has been cut.
Michima misses with a low kick.
Pudzianowski tries to clinch there but Michima circles away.
Pudzianowski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Michima counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pudzianowski fails in his attempt to clinch.
Michima could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Michima misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pudzianowski gets caught flat footed, as Michima shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pudzianowski keeping moving, preventing Michima from controlling successfully.
Michima wants to pass the guard but Pudzianowski is keeping the position.

Michima passes Pudzianowski's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Michima is trying to control the action in half guard but Pudzianowski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pudzianowski is defending against the submission attempts here by Michima.

Michima is working for a kimura but Pudzianowski is defending it quite comfortably.

Michima is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Pudzianowski to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Michima tries to free his leg and advance position but Pudzianowski is retaining full guard.

Michima drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pudzianowski dives on top into guard.
Michima is breathing heavily.

Michima is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pudzianowski throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Michima's body to avoid the submission. Michima has instead reached around Pudzianowski's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Michima arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
