Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bong Ji Woo (ranked 1189 p4p, 1915 weight class) and Tiger Grandpa (ranked 135 p4p, 213 weight class). Ji Woo's entrance music is 나쁜 달 상승. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bong Ji Woo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiger Grandpa!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

Grandpa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ji Woo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Grandpas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Grandpa misses with a head kick.
No luck for Grandpa with that takedown attempt.
Grandpa tries to clinch there but Ji Woo circles away.
Grandpa throws an off balance right hand
and Ji Woo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ji Woo lunges at Grandpa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Grandpa's hand.
Ji Woo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Grandpa cracks a nice hook into Ji Woo's ribs.
Ji Woo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Grandpa takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Despite the aggression on Grandpa's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Grandpa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Grandpa wants to stand but Ji Woo is controlling the position.

Ji Woo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Grandpa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Grandpa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ji Woo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ji Woo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Grandpa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ji Woo.

A close round but Tiger Grandpa will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A head kick misses from Grandpa.
Ji Woo went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Grandpa misses with a looping right.
Ji Woo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grandpa as he avoids it easily.

Grandpa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ji Woo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ji Woo's back!

That was a close second round but I would say that Bong Ji Woo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

and Grandpa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ji Woo thinking.

Ji Woo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ji Woo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grandpa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ji Woo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Grandpa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ji Woo's guard! Nice work there by Grandpa!

Grandpa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ji Woo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grandpa has managed to get both his arms back between Ji Woo's legs - danger averted.

Grandpa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ji Woo is proving hard to escape from.

Ji Woo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grandpa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grandpa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ji Woo has his feet on Grandpa's thighs here. He's pushed Grandpa off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Grandpa screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
