Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johan Hegg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Susi Solmunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solmunen has chosen Blood Is Thicker Than Water as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Solmunen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hegg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hegg wants to control but Solmunen postures up.

Solmunen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hegg has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Solmunen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hegg throws the kick towards the body but Solmunen avoids it.

Solmunen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hegg's guard.

Hegg is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Solmunen stands and throws Hegg's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Solmunen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hegg throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Solmunen has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hegg is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Solmunen yanks on the arm and Hegg is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Solmunen.
