Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Chavez (ranked 2969 p4p, 4998 weight class) and Riley Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Chavez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hatfield tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chavez is in Hatfield's guard.

Chavez lands a big head kick that sends Hatfield tumbling to the mat! Chavez takes a step backwards and waves Hatfield back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Riley Hatfield has been cut.

Chavez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hatfield did well to prevent Chavez getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chavez is nestled in close to Hatfield, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Chavez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hatfield knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
